To swap USDT to XMR without KYC, open the USDT to XMR exchange, choose the network your USDT is on, paste a Monero address you control, and send the USDT to the deposit address shown. There is no account and no email, and the XMR is paid out to your own wallet, typically within 5 to 30 minutes.

The swap itself is simple. The two things that go wrong are sending USDT on a different network from the one you selected, and pasting the wrong Monero address. This guide covers both, along with what the rate estimate includes and what to do if a swap looks stuck. Each coin also has its own page: the Tether (USDT) exchange page and the Monero (XMR) price and pairs page.

The short version

  • Select USDT on the exact network you hold it on (ERC20, TRC20, BEP20 or another one the form lists) and XMR as the coin you receive.
  • Use a Monero wallet you control and have backed up. The XMR goes straight to that address.
  • The rate is floating. The estimate shown before you send already includes the fee and the Monero payout fee.
  • If this is your first swap, run a small one first and send the rest once it arrives.

Why people swap USDT to Monero

USDT is the most widely held stablecoin, and every USDT balance and transfer is public on its blockchain. Monero hides the sender, the receiver and the amount of each transaction by default. People move from one to the other for a few practical reasons:

  • Privacy. They do not want their balance and payment history readable by anyone with a block explorer.
  • Self-custody. They want to hold the coins in their own wallet rather than in an exchange account.
  • Availability. Several large centralized exchanges have removed XMR, so a swap from a coin they already hold is often the most direct way to get it.

One caveat belongs here: the USDT side of the swap stays public. Anyone can see that your USDT address sent funds to a deposit address. What happens to the XMR after it reaches your wallet is what Monero keeps private. A no-KYC swap means no account and no identity check for standard swaps; it is not a promise of anonymity. The no-KYC exchange guide explains where the line sits.

Before you swap: a short checklist

User swapping USDT to Monero (XMR) without KYC on a non-custodial exchange - a short checklist before you swap

1. Confirm which network your USDT is on

Open the wallet that holds your USDT and read the network label:

  • USDT (ERC20) is on Ethereum.
  • USDT (TRC20) is on Tron.
  • USDT (BEP20) is on BNB Smart Chain.

The network decides the send fee, the confirmation speed and, most importantly, which option you must select in the swap form. The USDT networks guide covers the differences.

2. Have a Monero address ready

A standard Monero address is 95 characters long and starts with 4. A subaddress starts with 8. Use a wallet whose seed phrase you have written down; if you cannot back the wallet up, do not send funds to it.

3. Keep the network's own coin for the send fee

Sending USDT costs ETH on Ethereum, TRX on Tron and BNB on BNB Smart Chain. A wallet that holds only USDT cannot send it.

4. Decide whether to test first

A small first swap costs you one extra send fee and tells you that the network choice, the address and your wallet all work. For a large amount, that is cheap insurance.

How to swap USDT to XMR on SwapRocket

Step 1: Choose the pair

On the USDT to XMR exchange page, USDT is the coin you send and XMR is the coin you receive. Enter the amount of USDT.

Step 2: Select the USDT network you actually hold

If your USDT is on Tron, pick USDT (TRC20). If it is on Ethereum, pick USDT (ERC20). The form shows which networks are available. The selection must match the network you will send from.

Step 3: Paste your Monero address

Paste the address rather than typing it, then compare the first six and last six characters with the address in your wallet.

Step 4: Read the estimate

The form shows the amount of XMR you can expect. SwapRocket uses a floating rate, so the final amount is set when your deposit confirms and can differ slightly from the estimate if the XMR price moves in the meantime. The fee and the Monero payout fee are already inside the estimate, and nothing is added afterwards.

Step 5: Send USDT to the deposit address

Send the amount shown, on the network you selected, in a single transaction from your own wallet.

Step 6: Wait for the payout

The swap runs through four stages:

  1. Your deposit is detected.
  2. It reaches the required number of confirmations.
  3. A licensed liquidity provider executes the exchange.
  4. XMR is sent to your address.

A typical swap takes 5 to 30 minutes, set mostly by how fast the USDT deposit confirms on its network. Once the XMR arrives, Monero itself locks incoming funds for 10 blocks, roughly 20 minutes, before you can spend them.

What the swap costs

There are three costs, and only the first is paid separately:

  1. The USDT send fee, paid from your wallet in the network's own coin. It changes with congestion, so check what your wallet quotes before sending.
  2. The swap fee, which is built into the rate.
  3. The Monero payout fee, which is also inside the estimate.

Because the second and third are included in the number you see before sending, the estimate is the figure to judge the swap by. There is no fixed-rate option. For how swap pricing works in general, see how crypto swap fees work.

If the swap seems stuck

The USDT deposit has not confirmed. This is the usual cause. Look up the transaction in your wallet or a block explorer. A low fee on a busy network means a longer wait.

The USDT was sent on a different network from the one selected. For example, you chose USDT (TRC20) in the form but sent USDT (ERC20). Do not send anything else. Write to support@swaprocket.io with the transaction ID shown on the swap page and the hash of the payment you sent.

The amount was below the minimum. The form shows the minimum for the pair. A deposit below it cannot be exchanged automatically, so contact support.

The swap shows as completed but the wallet looks empty. Monero wallets have to sync with the network before they display incoming funds. Let the wallet finish syncing and check that you are looking at the account or subaddress you gave.

The address was wrong. Blockchain payments cannot be reversed. If you spot the mistake before the payout, contact support immediately.

The FAQ covers other common cases, and fixing a stuck crypto swap goes through them in more depth.

Good habits for a private swap

  • Receive into a wallet you control, with the seed phrase stored offline.
  • Use a fresh Monero subaddress for each swap. It costs nothing and keeps incoming payments separate.
  • Avoid public Wi-Fi when moving a large amount.
  • Keep the transaction ID shown on the swap page until the XMR is spendable in your wallet.

Non-custodial does not mean risk-free. It means you send from your own wallet, the XMR goes to the address you give, and no account balance is held in your name. More on Monero specifically is in the no-KYC Monero exchange guide, and if you hold bitcoin rather than USDT, use the BTC to XMR exchange.

FAQ: USDT to XMR without KYC

Can I swap USDT to XMR without creating an account?

Yes. On SwapRocket you choose the pair, give your Monero address and send the USDT. There is no account and no email.

Is it really no KYC?

Standard swaps need no identity check. The licensed liquidity provider that executes the swap screens transactions and can, in rare cases, hold a flagged one and ask for verification before releasing it. The USDT transaction you send is also public on its blockchain.

How long does a USDT to XMR swap take?

A typical swap takes 5 to 30 minutes. Most of that is the USDT deposit confirming, so the network you send on and how busy it is make the difference.

Which USDT network should I use?

Use the network your USDT is already on, provided the form lists it. Moving USDT to another network first adds a step and a fee, so it is rarely worth doing just for this swap.

Is the rate fixed?

No. SwapRocket uses a floating rate, so the final amount of XMR is set when your deposit confirms. The estimate shown beforehand already includes the fee and the payout network fee.
