The best no-KYC crypto exchange depends on what you are starting with. If you hold crypto and want a different coin, a non-custodial swap service has the fewest steps. If you hold cash or a bank balance, you need a peer-to-peer market. If both tokens live on the same blockchain, a DEX is the natural fit.

This is SwapRocket's own blog, so SwapRocket's no-KYC exchange is listed first and we are not neutral about it. The criteria are spelled out below so you can hold every service on this page, including ours, to the same standard. Nothing here is ranked by score, and we do not quote other companies' fees or limits because they change; check each service's own site.

TL;DR
  • Crypto to crypto, across chains: a swap service. SwapRocket covers 700+ assets with no account.
  • Cash or bank transfer to crypto: a peer-to-peer market such as Bisq or RoboSats.
  • Two tokens on the same chain: a DEX such as Uniswap or Jupiter.
  • "No KYC" always means no KYC for ordinary swaps. Every service that uses licensed liquidity can ask questions about a flagged transaction.

How We Judge a No-KYC Exchange

Six things separate a service worth using from one that only advertises "no KYC".

  1. Custody. Does the service keep your coins in an account, or do they pass through to your wallet? Custodial balances are where freezes happen.
  2. Account. A form that asks for an email creates a record. The leanest services ask for nothing but a destination address.
  3. Coverage. Can you get in and out of the coin you care about, in both directions?
  4. Amount shown up front. You should see what you will receive, and the minimum and maximum, before you send anything.
  5. Refund path. If a swap cannot be completed, your coins need somewhere to go back to.
  6. Address validation. A careful service rejects an address on the wrong network instead of letting the funds go astray.

Swap Services

A swap service takes one coin in and pays another out, wallet to wallet. You do not create an account, connect a wallet or place an order. These are often advertised as "instant" exchanges, but no swap is instantaneous: it waits for your deposit to confirm on its blockchain. This is the right tool for moving between blockchains, such as BTC to XMR or ETH to SOL.

1. SwapRocket

A non-custodial crypto-to-crypto swap service. You see an estimate with the fee included, get a one-time deposit address, and one licensed liquidity provider executes the swap and pays the coin you asked for to the address you supplied.

  • Assets: 700+, with a page for every major pair.
  • Account: none. No email or password.
  • Custody: no account balance. You send from your own wallet and the payout goes to your address.
  • Rate: floating market rate. The estimate shown before you send includes the fee and the payout network fee.
  • Safeguards: the destination address is checked against the target network before the swap can start, and the form asks for a refund address.
  • Speed: typically 5 to 30 minutes, set mostly by how fast the deposited coin confirms.
  • Best for: cross-chain swaps with few steps, including Monero in both directions, for example BTC to XMR and XMR to BTC.
  • Limits: crypto to crypto only, so no cards, cash or bank transfers. No fixed-rate option. You see one provider's rate, not a comparison of several. Not offered to residents of the United States or the United Kingdom. No KYC for standard swaps, but the liquidity provider screens transactions and can, rarely, hold a flagged one and ask for verification.

Popular pairs: BTC to ETH, ETH to USDT, USDT to BTC, SOL to ETH.

2. Trocador

An aggregator that lists quotes from many swap services side by side and rates each provider on how likely it is to ask for verification. It is also reachable over Tor.

  • Best for: comparing providers yourself rather than using a single one.
  • Limits: the swap is executed by whichever provider you choose, under that provider's terms and screening.

3. ChangeNOW

One of the longer-running swap services, with a very large asset list and no account requirement.

  • Best for: finding less common assets.
  • Limits: like the others in this category, it reserves the right to hold a transaction for checks.

4. SimpleSwap and 5. StealthEX

Two straightforward swap services with similar models: no account, a deposit address, and a payout to your wallet.

  • Best for: occasional swaps of mainstream coins.
  • Limits: the same screening caveat as every service in this category.

6. FixedFloat and 7. Exolix

Both offer fixed-rate swaps, where the rate is locked for a short window. FixedFloat also supports Bitcoin over Lightning.

  • Best for: people who want to know the exact amount before sending.
  • Limits: a fixed rate removes the uncertainty of market movement during confirmation, usually at a slightly worse price than a floating one.

What every swap service has in common: none is anonymous in the cryptographic sense. They are non-custodial and account-free, which removes the stored personal data. The transactions themselves are still on public blockchains, and the Monero side is the only part that is private on-chain.

Peer-to-Peer Markets

P2P markets are the answer when you start with cash or a bank balance. They match you with another person and hold the crypto in escrow until payment arrives.

8. Bisq

A decentralized desktop app with no company holding funds or data. You trade Bitcoin against bank transfers and other payment methods, with security deposits on both sides.

  • Best for: buying or selling Bitcoin for fiat without an intermediary.
  • Limits: slower than a swap, needs more setup, and you need some Bitcoin for the security deposit.

9. Haveno

A decentralized P2P exchange built around Monero, modelled on Bisq.

  • Best for: buying XMR with fiat without an account.
  • Limits: P2P pace and a smaller pool of offers than a large exchange. If you already hold crypto, a swap is simpler; see the no-KYC Monero exchange guide.

10. RoboSats

A Lightning-based P2P market that runs over Tor and uses throwaway identities.

  • Best for: small Bitcoin trades for fiat.
  • Limits: you need a Lightning wallet, and Lightning liquidity makes large trades impractical.

Decentralized Exchanges

A DEX is a smart contract you trade against from your own wallet. There is no account, but your wallet address and every trade are public.

11. Uniswap and Jupiter

Uniswap covers Ethereum and its layer-2 networks, and Jupiter covers Solana.

  • Best for: two tokens on the same chain.
  • Limits: neither can turn Bitcoin into Monero, because those coins do not live on their chains. You pay gas, and you approve contracts from your wallet.

12. THORChain

A cross-chain DEX that swaps native assets such as BTC and ETH through liquidity pools, with no wrapped tokens.

  • Best for: native cross-chain swaps between the large coins it supports, from a compatible wallet.
  • Limits: far fewer assets than a swap service, and it takes a little more knowledge to use.

A KYC exchange is still the right tool for moving money to and from a bank and for active trading with limit orders. A no-KYC swap is the right tool for changing one coin into another without parking funds or data with a third party. Many people use both. For the mechanics, see how no-KYC exchanges work.

Safety Checklist Before You Send

  • Bookmark the real domain. Phishing copies of swap sites are common, and they differ only in the deposit address.
  • Start with a small amount the first time you use any service.
  • Check the network, not just the ticker. USDT exists on several chains, and the address format tells you which one you are on.
  • Keep the swap ID until the coins arrive. Support cannot find a swap without it.
  • Receive to your own wallet, not to an exchange deposit address that may need a memo.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best non-KYC crypto exchange for swapping?

For a plain crypto-to-crypto swap, pick a non-KYC exchange that keeps no custodial balance and shows the amount you will receive before you send. That describes a non-custodial swap service such as SwapRocket. Order-book trading and bank withdrawals still need a KYC exchange.

What is the best no-KYC crypto exchange?

It depends on what you start with. To exchange one crypto for another, look for a swap service that is non-custodial, needs no account, validates your address and shows the amount before you send; SwapRocket does those four across 700+ assets. For buying crypto with cash or a bank transfer, a P2P market such as Bisq is the better fit.

In most countries it is legal for an individual to use one. KYC rules bind the businesses, and tax rules still apply to your gains. Some jurisdictions restrict crypto in general, and services choose where they operate: SwapRocket is not offered to residents of the United States or the United Kingdom. This is general information, not legal advice.

Are no-KYC exchanges safe?

The non-custodial ones remove two large risks of a traditional exchange: a frozen account balance and a leaked identity database. The risks that remain are sending to a wrong address, using a fake site, relying on the service to execute the swap, and market movement during a floating-rate swap.

Can a no-KYC exchange ever ask for ID?

Yes. Services that use licensed liquidity providers can be required to pause a transaction that their monitoring flags and ask where the funds came from. It is uncommon for ordinary swaps, and no honest service can promise it will never happen.

Do no-KYC exchanges have limits?

Every pair has a minimum and a maximum set by network costs and available liquidity. On SwapRocket both are shown on the pair page before you start.

Which no-KYC exchange supports Monero?

SwapRocket supports XMR in both directions, including BTC to XMR, ETH to XMR and XMR to USDT. Haveno is the option for buying Monero with fiat.
